Our Trip Down To San Diego Last Weekend

It’s been ages since we posted here but wanted to share this awesome event we went to this weekend. We are pumped to share our trip down to San Diego last week. We got to go to the Hullabaloo Family Music Festival, which was sponsored by Piano Movers of San Diego.

The Hullabaloo Family Music Festival is a one-day celebration of music for kids and their grown-ups. Held at the quaint Bernardo Winery, it’s your chance to throw down a picnic blanket, grab a glass of wine or beer, and let the kids run around until the music begins.

Hullabaloo and Lloyd Miller of the Deedle Deedle Dees each performed two sets of music between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and GroovaRoo taught us as a family how to dance! It was super fun.

Have you ever tried finding parking in San Diego, CA?

There was ample parking at the winery and we were able to get a great spot right by the food spot.

The Food and Drinks were top notch at the Bernardo Winery. Wine and craft beer for the adults and water for the kiddos. Seriously, the food was awesome as well with one of our favorite food trucks in San Diego, Pizza Pazza allowed us to go with them. Our kids loved the pizza and the music. We even brought our pack and play to keep them out of the hot sun.

We actually scored free tickets to this awesome music festival, which is typically around $25 per ticket to this event. One of our business partners, who are the best piano mover in San Diego,  was one of the sponsors and got a load of free tickets.  I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move their piano in San Diego.

A Guide on Safe Motorcycle Riding

Riding a motorcycle is one of the easiest way to get around a city or town. You can dodge most of the hassle that traffic jams can bring. Also, the feeling of adrenaline rush as you speed up is something that make you feel alive. However, riding a motorcycle is prone to accidents especially if you’re not fully equipped and aware of the things that you need to know.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a returning rider, you can see below what are things you that you need to consider first to keep your ride safe and enjoyable before hopping in to your motorcycle.

Pick the right motorcycle

There are a lot of powerful motorcycles available in the market and you might get overwhelmed that you end up getting a motorcycle you can’t handle. Keep in mind that when trying out or picking one, make sure that it will be easy for you to get on and off from it. Also, your feet should be lying flat on the ground when you mount your motorcycle and you shouldn’t be tip- toeing. If it feels that it’s heavy, yes it is heavy for you. The best way to know if the motorcycle your eyeing for weeks now is the one for you is to test its comfort ability.

Make sure to have anti- lock brakes

Anti- lock brakes let you take control of your bike’s steering handles even during those times that you have to suddenly stop to avoid an accident or a collision. These anti-lock brakes can greatly help when you’re riding in a slippery road as it gives you more control on your motorcycle movements.

Invest in proper gear

A simple long sleeve shirt and denim pants cannot save you from injuries and scratches when you go down on the road especially your head that needs an actual protection like a helmet. Elbow and knee pads are also important and jackets specialized for motorcycle riders are available in motorcycle shops. If you’re worrying about the weather and heat in wearing leather jackets, don’t. Motorcycle jackets that have breathable mesh are now available and besides, it feels ten degrees colder when you’re speeding up in a freeway.

Be more careful than those who drive cars

Many accidents on the road between a motorcycles rider and a car driver are caused by the one behind the wheels. You will not be able to control anyone else on the road but yourself so make sure and see to it that you’re alert and aware of all the local and national traffic laws.

Check your ride before riding it

Make a full inspection on your motorcycle’s brakes, gas, engine oil, wheels, air pressure and don’t skimp on checking its every nook and cranny to make sure that your motorcycle will not transform into something else when you take it on the road.

Riding motorcycle is fun and it gives you opportunity to discover more things around your place and also inside yourself. Just make sure that it won’t go to waste.

Welcome to Gold Wing Touring Association

Gold Wing Touring Association (GWTA), non-profit touring motorcyclists organization, is an association of touring motorcycle’s fans and enthusiasts. It is an international social organization belonging to the “not-for-profit” category and has several local chapters spread out in the United States of America and Canada. The “Gold Wing” part of the association’s name was derived from the fact that most members, at inception, ride Honda Gold Wing motorcycles. However, this does not restrict new members with different bike types from signing up. The association was formed in September of the year 1987.

The primary reason why the association was formed was so that likeminded motorcyclists from whichever region, could coalesce and have fun while reveling in the spiritual connection associated with fellowship. This is in keeping with the associations’ motto of “Destination Friendship”. It is a known fact that motorcyclists tend to be quite independent and the association regularly organizes fun filled events for their members.

Membership in the Gold Wing Touring Association is open to any motorcyclist who wants to network with enthusiasts who enjoy the motorcycle riding experience and want to participate in events and that are lively and filled with a fun atmosphere. As the association strives to host and provide fun filled events, they also promote safe and mature riding activities among their diverse members.

There are incidental advantages and benefits that are available to motorcyclists who join the association like a towing service and relatively cheaper insurance premiums. Members also have a forum where they can exchange information and network on diverse subjects such as where to get the best deals on motorcycle spare parts, accessories and the best bargain on good insurance packages for their motorcycles. The association’s members are also able to trade information on where to get the best technicians to service and maintain their motorcycles. They also get to know about the local and international motorcycle touring events.

Family membership for joining GWTA is set at US$75 annually and it covers a member and his dependents. There are special offers available whereby a member can pay for 2 year membership upfront and get a three year membership. After that, the member will only be required to update their membership status with a nominal annual fee of US$50. Members can attend GWTA meetings in any chapter in the US or Canada. Members can also attend an annual gathering aptly named the “Gold Rush” usually held at an American or Canadian host hotel.
